Shannon Cucksey, like many in the profession, fell into a career in Human Resources and has never looked back! She has twenty years of experience in consulting and corporate Human Resources Management, specializing in talent and leadership development, engagement, and employee and labor relations. While getting her bachelor’s degree from Middle Tennessee State University, where she studied business and psychology, Shannon worked as a healthcare recruiter and discovered that she thoroughly enjoyed connecting different personalities to purpose-driven work. She went on to get her Master of Jurisprudence in Labor and Employment Law from Tulane University.

Always a People First leader, Shannon leads with an authentic approach that balances optimizing talent with the risk mitigation side of running a business. Over the years she has coached and developed leaders; created engagement and retention strategies; implemented solutions in high-risk, unstable-culture environments; led teams through acquisitions, mergers, and divestitures; built high-performing teams; negotiated numerous collective bargaining agreements and union arbitration and conducted high-level investigations internally and agency directed, such as EEOC and DOL.  Additionally, she has developed processes and authored written materials such as policies and handbooks for 18,000 employees spanning multiple states related to all aspects of Human Resources.
